HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOREY’S TREASURES! I can’t believe I’ve been a part of this blogging world for a whole year now. As I sit here and reflect on the past 365 days, there are so many emotions that are whirling around in my head and heart right now, but all in all, I’m so thankful and happy I took the leap and became a blogger!
My whole love for blogs began back in 2011 when I started following Emily over at Cupcakes and Cashmere. Through her blog and coffee table book, I quickly became intrigued with her lifestyle, fashion, the food she ate, the interior decor she loved, and of course her lifestyle in Los Angeles (just a short two hour drive from Santa Barbara). It basically felt like we were friends!
Fast forward to 2015, and my boyfriend, who listens to many motivational and lifestyle podcasts, encouraged me to do the same. Through our many nightly conversations via FaceTime, he inspired me to follow my blogging dreams, buy a website domain (before it got taken), and keep it parked and waiting for me when I was ready to begin! Knowing I had a lot of free time on my hands because it was summer break (I’m a teacher the rest of the year), I was confident that a new website would keep me occupied! And for those that know me…I’m always on-the-go and crave being busy. So turns out, within minutes of buying my domain name a year ago, I also posted my first blog post on a whim, and the rest is history!
I wanted to give a HUGE THANK YOU to those that have encouraged, inspired, motivated, assisted, and supported me in more ways than one!! If it weren’t for any of you, I wouldn’t be on this amazing journey I love to call Torey’s Treasures! I 110% appreciate the positivity which keeps me going and empowers me to do the best I can do, and become the best I can be, which I hope I can reciprocate through my blog!
