Ready to sweat!? Not so fast…when it comes to gearing up for your workout, carbs are your gym BFF. The idea is to have a combination of mixed complex carbs and simple carbs so that the release of energy is slow and steady throughout your whole routine. After a workout is a whole other story! Your body is in recover mode, so you need a nutrient dense dish to replenish everything you worked off. It’s important to get protein and carbs in to build and repair your muscles and keep your metabolism going strong.
Try to plan ahead and combine regular exercise with eating the right foods at the right time. Feeding your body before and after every workout is essential for burning the most calories, staying energized, building lean muscle, losing weight, and speeding up recovery.
