REWARDSTYLE CONFERENCE: #rStheCon DAY 2

I shared Day 1 of the rewardStyle conference yesterday here on Torey’s Treasures and am so happy to recap my experience from Day 2 out of 3 with you today! Day 2 is when the busy, hustle and bustle, go-getter mindset really kicked in for me! Let’s get started…

DAY 2: I woke up bright and early, got ready and dressed in the cutest summer-y dress with a denim jacket and comfortable wedges, and headed downstairs for a delicious acai bowl and coffee to kickstart my day. All the conference attendees (influencers) joined together in a conference room to talk about the new LIKEtoKNOW.it app that just launched. I talked about it here in yesterday’s post, but it basically makes all my photos on Instagram shoppable in an instant! We learned about the growth of rewardStyle and LIKEtoKNOW.it since the company first started up until this point now! They have grown tremendously in just 5 short years and are a totally inspiring business to be a part of! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for myself as an influencer in this space, but I know being apart of this community so far has been the best part!

We then headed off down the street to a Shake Shack lunch (my first and definitely not last time) hosted by the amazing Banana Republic! It was the most picturesque picnic theme with yellow sunflowers EVERYWHERE. Needless to say, my yellow OTS dress was a hit…

DRESS: Tularosa // SUNGLASSES: Karen Walker // SHOES: Tory Burch // BAG: Tory Burch (similar here) // NECKLACE: Tiffany&Co. (similar dupe here)

The entire afternoon at the hotel was filled with classroom breakout sessions, where we each were given the opportunity to learn about topics of interest to us! I learned A TON about user experience, SEO, and time hacks. I even had the opportunity to meet the developers who work behind the scenes for LIKEtoKNOW.it nonstop on coding and they worked their magic on my site!

At this point, it was time to do a quick outfit change and head to the cocktail party hosted by Bumble. This was a great opportunity to get to know other influencers and rewardStyle employees, and of course you can’t forget about walking the yellow carpet! I wore this cute, comfortable (and pretty casual) dress with the BEST cork, studded, block heels! You need them for Spring + Summer because they will easily match with everything in your closet! I headed to dinner that night with a couple blogger friends near the hotel, and called it a night in preparation for Day 3!

DRESS: Free People  (comes in 4 colors) // SHOES: Dolce Vita // BAG: GiGi New York // SUNGLASSES: Karen Walker // BRACELET: Bauble Bar

I can’t wait to share all of Day 3’s looks with you and especially the festivities and fun that took place! Trust me, you’ll want to tune in to Torey’s Treasures tomorrow for ALL THE DEETS! See you then 😉

REWARDSTYLE CONFERENCE: #rStheCon DAY 1

….AND I’M BACK! If you saw on my Instagram over the weekend then you know I was incredibly thankful to be in Dallas for the 5th annual rewardStyle Conference that was held at Hotel Crescent Court! rewardStyle is the affiliate marketing company and platform that I use, but more importantly is the genius behind LIKEtoKNOW.it! You may see me mention LIKEtoKNOW.it frequently on my Instagram or here on my blog. That’s because it solves the “OMG where did you get that outfit?!” question by easily linking my products for readers like you to purchase! rewardStyle recently launched their new LIKEtoKNOW.it app which you can download for free in the App Store. The amazing technology allows you to screenshot a photo from Instagram and immediately open the app for ready-to-shop product details!  A win-win shopping solution if you ask me 😉

The rewardStyle Conference (also known as #rStheCon) is an invitation only Conference where the top 200 influencers (or bloggers) in the world come together for 3 days of connecting and collaborating via brand meetings, learning from each other and industry experts in classroom sessions, networking, and celebrating our success at some amazing parties! I tried my best to take you along with me and share every part of the weekend on my Instagram Stories, but since the entire weekend was GO-GO-GO, I’m happy to be able to share a full recap of #rStheCon over the next few days here on Torey’s Treasures!

DAY 1: I landed in Dallas, took an uber to the hotel, and immediately was greeted by champagne and blogging babes. Keep in mind I had never met these girls in real life, only on Instagram, but they instantly felt like my friends! I received my personalized LIKEtoKNOW.it pink room key and headed up to my room where I met my roomie for the weekend, Brittany, from Loverly Grey. We immediately got ready and headed downstairs to shoot a couple looks with a photographer, before heading over to the Tulum inspired rooftop pool party hosted by Sole Society! I wore this cute OTS striped, flowy dress and accesorized with the perfect pom-pom clutch (on sale now). After the party wrapped up, we headed to a Mexican dinner close by, where I really got to know some other blogging babes! We basically closed down the restaurant at 11pm and headed back to our hotel for some much needed sleep in preparation for a busy Day 2!

DRESS: Faithfull the Brand // CLUTCH: Steve Madden (love these here) // SHOES: Marc Fisher // SUNGLASSES: Henri Bendel // NECKLACE: Tiffany & Co. (similar dupe here) // BRACELETS: Alex and Ani

See you back here on Torey’s Treasures tomorrow for an update on Day 2 of #rStheCon!!!

5 PACKING + TRAVELING MUST DO’S

You guys, GET THIS...I’m currently 35,000 feet in the air writing a blog post for you. Life in 2017 is pretty crazy isn’t it?!

JOGGERS: Nordstrom // TOP: Three Dots c/o (more affordable here) // SHOES: Adidas // DENIM JACKET: Old Navy (only $39) // SUNGLASSES: Karen Walker // TOTE: Barrington Gifts c/o // WEEKENDER BAG: Sole Society // ROLLING SUITCASE: Delsey 24″ (on sale NOW!)

If you’re curious where I’m going mid-week, yes it is Spring Break (woohoo!), and I’m en route to NYC for an exciting fitness collaboration that I can’t wait to share with you!! You can follow me along on my Instagram stories to see more behind the scenes posts while I’m in the city! I’ll be heading straight from NYC to Phoenix to be with my boyfriend for a few days, so embarking on a back to back trip (with complete opposite weathers) this week called for some a lot of organization! I’m no travel blogger or travel expert by any means, but the more I travel, the more I learn! Without further ado, today’s post is all about packing + traveling must do’s to make your upcoming trip or vacation a seamless success and to make the most of your trip! Let’s get started:

  1. Write down a general packing list a couple days before you leave. This way, if you think of anything throughout the subsequent days, you can simply add it to your list to avoid forgetting anything. Then, pack the day before you leave by rolling your clothes to avoid wrinkles and save suitcase space. When I pack, I will put all my clothes in my rolling suitcase, and reserve my duffel for shoes, toiletries, and hair products.
  2. Lay out your travel outfit from head to toe the night before. I personally LOVE traveling in comfortable shoes like these sneakers, comfortable pants like these joggers, a cozy tee, and I always carry a jacket with me (those airplanes are always quite chilly). The best jacket to wear traveling in my opinion is a denim jacket because you can restyle it your entire trip!
  3. Pack 80% neutrals. As much as I love to wear colors and patterns this time of year, it’s essential on vacation to pack 80% neutral clothing that will match denim, white/black pants, in order to mix and match everything in your suitcase.
  4. Cell phone battery pack is a must. I recently received this Mophie as a gift and have been loving it! With limited wall sockets in the airport, it’s important your phone is charged up to access anything important via email or contact anyone you might be visiting or meeting up with.
  5. Pack snacks and your own airplane entertainment. I’m always hungry (anyone else?), so this trip I made sure to pack a bunch of these protein bars, apples with this individual sized almond butter, nuts, and an empty refillable water bottle. Also, I made sure to download my favorite podcasts (see post here), bring a magazine, and have my computer charged up for the plane ride.

Do you have any packing or traveling tips that are must’s?! Thank you for reading my blog post today and be sure to follow my travels on Instagram! I hope you have a wonderful week ahead 🙂

COACHELLA FESTIVAL STYLE

SHORTS: Free People // TEE: BP. // KIMONO: Shein (only $22) c/o // BAG: Free People (old, similar here) // HAT: H&M (old, similar here and here) // SUNGLASSES: Karen Walker // BOOTIES: Jeffrey Campbell (love these too) // NECKLACE: Baublebar (similar here)

It’s that time of year again, festival season! My prediction for Coachella this year:  flower crowns, mirrored oversized sunniescrochet, fringe, and denim cut off shorts. Let’s be real, for most people it’s all about the amazing style rather than the music (although I did attend once, and I made sure to take in both as a first timer haha).  With the upcoming festival in Palm Springs, make sure you’re ready this season and dressed your boho best for dancing under the sun and singing under the moon! Kick off your Coachella and festival season style with cool comfort and sunny style! 🙂

Are you attending?! I’d love to hear what you plan on wearing!!
