If you’re anything like me, you’re always on the go but also always hungry which means you need a convenient snack that will give you a mega burst of energy for a workout, meeting, errands, or an afternoon of shopping. Look no further than these amazing Energy Fit Balls! They’re SO convenient and SO delicious I always make sure to keep one batch in my refrigerator so I can conveniently grab a couple on the go…they are THAT amazing! Just wait, it gets even better…the recipe is super quick and simple to make, and is made with all healthy ingredients. What better way to start off the New Year and your 2016 health and fitness resolutions than with ready-to-eat, tasty, and healthy snacks in the kitchen!? 🙂
ENERGY FIT BITES RECIPE
Total Time: 10 Minutes
Yield: About A Dozen
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup dry oats
2/3 cup toasted (or shredded) coconut flakes
1/2 cup peanut butter (or almond butter)
1/2 cup ground flax seed
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/3 cup honey or agave nectar
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Sprinkles 😉
DIRECTIONS:
Stir all ingredients together in a medium sized bowl until thoroughly mixed (Sometimes you may need to use your hands…have a taste while you’re at it)
Roll into balls of whatever size you would like (Mine are usually about 1″ in diameter)
Store in airtight container and keep refrigerated for about a week. Enjoy!
*You may also substitute in and experiment with different ingredients. The name of the game with this recipe is customization!
